Position OverviewThe Part‑Time Bookkeeping / Accounting Specialist will support our daily, weekly, and monthly financial operations using Quick Books Online (QBO). This role involves maintaining clean financial records, reconciling accounts, managing payables and receivables, and assisting in the preparation of financial summaries and reports.
Key Responsibilities- Manage day‑to‑day bookkeeping tasks in Quick Books Online, ensuring accuracy and consistency across locations.
- Record and reconcile bank, credit card, and loan accounts monthly.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable with attention to vendor terms and cash flow timing.
- Support payroll processing and account classification (in coordination with management or HR team).
- Maintain and organize supporting documentation, receipts, invoices, and statements.
- Assist with closing procedures, journal entries, and monthly financial reporting.
- Identify and suggest workflow improvements within QBO and related systems.
- Communicate proactively with management regarding discrepancies, upcoming obligations, and cash flow trends.
- 3+ years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting, preferably in a multi‑location or service‑based business.
- Strong proficiency in Quick Books Online (certification preferred).
- Working knowledge of financial workflows, reporting structures, and internal controls.
- Proficient in Excel/Google Sheets for data tracking and reporting.
- Detail‑oriented, organized, and capable of managing multiple priorities independently.
- Strong communication and follow‑up skills, with a proactive problem‑solving mindset.
- Part‑time: approximately 15–25 hours per week.
