Salary £35,000 - £60,000 Negotiable, dependent of qualifications and experience
Full time, office based - Not suitable for remote working

We represent an established Mid-Sized Accountancy Practice seeking an experienced Tax Accountant / Tax Manager to join their growing tax team. This role is ideal for a Chartered Accountant, ATT, CTA, ACA, or ACCA-qualified professional who wants to build a long-term career in a supportive, technically strong, and client-focused environment.
As a Tax Accountant or Tax Manager, you will work closely with a diverse portfolio of UK and international clients, delivering high-quality tax advisory and compliance services. This is an excellent opportunity for a tax professional with at least three years of relevant experience-within an Accountancy Practice-who is looking for broader responsibility, client ownership, and progression.
RequirementsWe are looking for a Tax Accountant, Tax Manager, or Chartered Accountant who demonstrates:
- CTA, ACA, ACCA, or ATT qualification.
- At least three years of relevant experience in tax-ideally within an Accountancy Practice.
- Strong technical skills in UK tax, including UK and international aspects.
- Excellent attention to detail and a problem-solving mindset.
- A genuine interest in understanding clients' businesses and delivering exceptional service.
- The ability to identify tax planning opportunities and provide clear, commercial advice.
- Experience managing junior staff (advantageous for the Tax Manager level).

As a Tax Accountant / Tax Manager, your responsibilities will include:
- Reviewing and completing personal tax, partnership tax, trust tax returns and computations.
- Managing the processing of tax returns across personal tax, partnerships, trusts, and P11
Ds. - Providing UK tax and international tax advice to a wide range of clients.
- Preparing tax reports, memorandums, and identifying cross-selling opportunities within the Accountancy Practice.
- Advising clients on UK residence, domicile, and pre-arrival planning.
- Delivering inheritance tax and capital gains tax advice.
- Assisting clients with HMRC enquiries and other tax matters.
- Acting as the primary contact for a portfolio of UK and international clients.
- Managing, reviewing, and mentoring staff within the tax team.
- Completing special assignments and ad-hoc projects for managers and partners.
- Delivering internal tax training and contributing to CPD development.
- Writing articles for publication and presenting at webinars or international meetings.
- Controlling cost budgets, meeting reporting deadlines, and preparing key client documents.
