Job Description

The Tax Accountant is responsible for preparing and reviewing federal and state income tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, and trusts within a CPA firm environment. This role involves creating and maintaining accurate supporting work papers, ensuring compliance with tax regulations, and delivering high-quality tax filings within established deadlines. The position requires hands-on experience using tax and accounting software such as Lacerte, Quick Books, Sage 50 (Peachtree), and Microsoft Excel.

The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of income tax preparation experience in a CPA firm, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively. A bachelor's degree in Accounting is required, and CPA candidates are preferred but not required.
