Position
:
Accounting Senior Officer (permanent role with WFH arrangement 2‑3 days per week after probation clearance).
Overview
:
This international chemical trading and investment MNC is based in town (next to MRT). You will report to the Senior Manager, Accounting and work with a team of senior officers and executives.
Key Responsibilities
:
- Manage day‑to‑day accounting operations including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and revenue recognition for specific products/segments.
- Assist in closing the books within the required timeline and review any manual entries for adjustment.
- Approve workflows for payments and prepare disbursement slips in the system.
- Monitor and prepare accruals of charges for specific products/segments.
- Ensure proper safekeeping of documents for auditing and assist in sampling/vouching for the auditor.
- Prepare manual invoices/debit notes when required.
- Check overdue payments and report to the Risk department.
- Support the team for duty cover and miscellaneous projects and tasks.
Requirements
:
- At least Diploma/LCCI/CAT qualified with a few years of working experience in accounting covering AP, AR and partial book closing.
- Experience in an MNC trading industry is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Good understanding of MS Office applications.
- Accurate report preparation and strong written & verbal communication skills.
- Ability to multi‑task and work well as a team member.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
