Staff Accountant - Accounts Payable

Staff AP Accountant

We are seeking a detail‑driven Staff AP Accountant to manage daily accounts payable operations and support financial reporting for a growing portfolio of residential communities.

• Manage the full AP cycle including vendor setup, invoice processing, coding, approvals, and payment runs.
• Reconcile AP subledger to the general ledger; prepare accruals, journal entries, and month‑end close tasks.
• Maintain vendor records, W‑9 documentation, and support 1099 reporting while resolving vendor issues and aging items.
• Partner with operations and property management teams to ensure invoice accuracy and timely processing.
• Prepare AP reports, assist with cash‑flow forecasting, and oversee weekly AP aging reporting.
• Identify and implement process improvements while enforcing AP policies and internal controls.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 2+ years of accounting experience; property management accounting preferred.
• Strong understanding of GAAP, AP processes, and month‑end close.
• Proficiency in Excel and accounting/ERP systems (Entrata a plus).
• Excellent attention to detail, communication, and organizational skills.
