To support the growth of the business, we are looking for a strong Assistant Accountant to join the team.
About YouThe ideal candidate is a proactive, detail‑focused finance professional who takes ownership, works independently, and keeps processes running smoothly. They’re organised, adaptable, and comfortable juggling AP/AR, month‑end tasks, and reconciliations with accuracy. With a keen eye for improvement and strong communication skills, they bring reliability, initiative, and a calm, can‑do attitude to a growing, fast‑moving business.

- 1+ years’ experience in accounting role ideally within the CPG industry
- Accounts receivable/payable
- Working knowledge of Xero (desirable)
- Exposure to foreign subsidiaries (US highly desirable)
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Accounts Payable & Receivable:
Take full ownership of AP and AR processes, including invoice and bill processing, employee expense management, and overseeing customer terms and credit limits. Maintain strict credit control, complete daily bank reconciliations, and manage the weekly payment run. - Management Accounts:
Support the preparation of monthly and year‑end P&L statements, manage the accruals and prepayments process, and take responsibility for all month‑end postings. - Balance Sheet Reconciliations:
Assist with the monthly reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness. - Process Improvement:
Play a key role in developing, implementing, and refining core financial processes to meet the evolving needs of the business. - VAT Compliance:
Prepare and submit UK and EU VAT returns on a quarterly and/or annual basis. - Deduction Platform Management:
Take full ownership of the deductions platform, ensuring all information is accurately aligned and fully reconciled. - Intercompany Transactions:
Manage and monitor monthly intercompany transactions, ensuring all entries reconcile correctly within the balance sheet. - Reporting:
Deliver regular and ad‑hoc financial reports and analysis as required by the business.
- Full-time employment
- Remote based with 1 day/week in person (London based) with travel expenses covered
- Salary of £35,000 - £38,000 dependant on experience

Our comprehensive compensation package plays a big part in how we recognize you for your impact on our path to achieving our mission. For this role, the estimated base salary range is up to £38,000. The actual base salary will vary based on various factors, including market and individual qualifications objectively assessed during the interview, process. The listed range above is a guideline, and the base salary range for this role may be modified.
