We're partnering with a well-funded, high-growth SaaS business to find their first Controller. This company has thousands of customers, best-in-class retention, and a product people genuinely love. They're growing over 100% year over year and have been deliberate about building something durable, not just fast. Accounting isn't an afterthought here. It's considered a core part of how they operate.
This is a rare opportunity to own the accounting function at a company that's growing fast, doing things right, and building toward something significant. If you've led through scale before and want to do it again somewhere that actually values what you bring, read on.
The roleThis is a true ownership role. You'll have full accountability for the accounting function end to end, with the foundation already in place and the mandate to strengthen and scale it.
- Full ownership of the close process, monthly, quarterly, and annual
- US GAAP reporting across complex areas including ASC 606 revenue recognition and stock-based compensation
- Lead external audits and own internal controls and documentation
- Oversee AP, AR, billing, cash management, taxes, and statutory compliance, with payroll coming into scope over time
- Partner with external firms on international subsidiary accounting, local statutory results, and consolidation into the US parent
- Drive systems improvements and automation to support scale
You've done this before. You've led an accounting function through real growth, you know where things break, and you're energised by building ahead of it rather than reacting to it.
- IPO experience in an accounting leadership role, or close to it
- Deep SaaS accounting knowledge with hands‑on ownership of outcomes
- Strong fundamentals, clean reporting and tight controls are non‑negotiable for you
- A builder who is comfortable in the detail today while designing for tomorrow
- Someone who develops the people around them and measures success by team growth
Alongside a competitive package, this company looks after its people in ways that actually matter.
- Competitive salary and meaningful equity with a 10‑year exercise window
- Unlimited PTO, actively encouraged
- Minimum 12 weeks fully paid parental leave
- Generous budget for equipment, software, and home office
- Monthly education budget with support for conferences and bigger items
- Top-tier health insurance, premiums fully covered for you and your dependents
