Senior Statutory Reporting Accountant (Remote – Insurance)

Homeowners Insurance Carrier | Fully remote with quarterly travel to Florida.

I’m partnering with a growing homeowners insurance carrier to fill a Senior Statutory Reporting Accountant position. This fully remote role requires quarterly travel to the company’s Florida‑based office for team collaboration and planning.

Ideal candidates have 2‑5 years of experience, either from public accounting (insurance clients preferred) or from an insurance carrier with statutory reporting exposure.

• Prepare and review statutory financial statements in accordance with NAIC requirements.
• Assist with quarterly and annual statutory filings, including schedules and disclosures.
• Support state insurance department filings and respond to regulatory inquiries.
• Partner with auditors during statutory audits and examinations.
• Collaborate with internal teams on accounting policy, controls, and process improvements.
• Assist with special projects related to growth, reporting enhancements, and automation.

• 2‑5 years of accounting experience. Public accounting experience (Big 4 or national/regional firm) strongly considered, or industry experience with a P&C or homeowners insurance carrier.
• Exposure to statutory accounting and reporting (hands‑on or through audit).
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• CPA or CPA‑eligible strongly preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently in a remote environment.
