We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Audit Manager with a deep understanding of the Insurance industry to join our team. This is a permanent, full-time position that offers the flexibility to work remotely. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in our Accounting and Finance department, providing expert auditing services to our insurance industry clients. This role requires a minimum of 5+ years of experience in similar roles.

Job Details

As an Audit Manager, your key responsibilities will include
  • Executing the full cycle of audit processes, including risk management and control management over operations' effectiveness, financial reliability, and compliance with all applicable directives and regulations.
  • Determining internal audit scope and developing annual plans.
  • Obtaining, analyzing, and evaluating accounting documentation, reports, data, flowcharts, etc.
  • Preparing and presenting reports that reflect audit results and document the process.
  • Acting as an objective source of independent advice to ensure validity, legality, and goal achievement.
  • Identifying loopholes and recommending risk aversion measures and cost savings.
  • Conducting follow-up audits to monitor management's interventions.
  • Engaging in continuous knowledge development regarding sector rules, regulations, best practices, tools, techniques, and performance standards.
  • Collaborating with team members to ensure smooth and reliable auditing processes.
  • Providing leadership, guidance, and training to junior staff.
  • Experience with insurance companies - specifically property and casualty
Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. A Master's degree or CPA certification is highly desirable.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of proven experience in auditing, preferably within the insurance industry.
  • In-depth understanding of auditing and control practices, as well as regulatory and compliance requirements specific to the insurance industry.
  • Proficiency in STAT and other relevant auditing software.
  • Exceptional analytical skills, attention to detail, and strong decision-making abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely.
  • Strong leadership skills, with a proven ability to manage and motivate a team.
  • High level of integrity and professionalism, with a commitment to upholding ethical standards.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote setting, with a strong sense of self-motivation and discipline.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and implementing effective solutions.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Willingness to stay up-to-date with industry developments and updates in auditing standards.
