Overview

Location: Tampa, FL

Compensation: $85,000 – $100,000

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Senior Tax Associate to join our client’s collaborative and growing tax team. This role is ideal for a tax professional looking to deepen their technical skills, take ownership of client work, and grow into a leadership track. You’ll have the opportunity to work on a wide variety of tax engagements while being supported by experienced mentors.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and review individual, corporate, partnership, and trust tax returns.
  • Assist with tax planning, research, and consulting for a variety of clients.
  • Collaborate with team members on complex engagements to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
  • Communicate directly with clients to request information, explain tax matters, and resolve issues.
  • Research technical tax issues and prepare supporting memoranda.
  • Support managers with tax projections and year-end planning.
  • Help train and guide junior staff accountants.
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations and deadlines.
Qualifications
  • CPA or actively pursuing CPA licensure.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field. MST is a plus.
  • 3–5 years of experience in public accounting or tax advisory services.
  • Solid knowledge of individual and business tax concepts.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Experience with tax software (e.g., CCH Axcess, GoSystem) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple deadlines.
