This role provides an opportunity to make a meaningful impact for nonprofit clients and grow toward a Controller‑level position. We are adopting a hybrid model with on‑site and remote work options.
We value dedicated, personable, hands‑on accountants who can serve multiple clients both virtually and on‑site. The Accountant will interact with clients, their staff, Board of Directors, and Finance Committees on a regular basis. Part‑time staff members have access to many of the same development opportunities and benefits as full‑time staff.
Responsibilities- Weekly and monthly processing of accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll
- Bank account and balance sheet reconciliations
- Monthly financial statements and related analysis
- Grant tracking and monitoring
- Cash flow projections and monitoring
- Preparation for outside audits
- Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Accounting or Finance
- Minimum 3 years of related experience in public accounting and/or industry; 5+ years preferred
- Outstanding communication skills and a positive attitude
- Knowledge of, or interest in learning, multiple accounting software packages;
Quick Books experience is a plus - Intermediate-level Excel skills
- Willingness to travel to client offices as needed when it is safe to do so
- Nonprofit experience preferred, but not required

Starting hourly rate is $30 to $45 per hour for this non‑exempt position. Total compensation may increase with overtime pay and eligibility for bonuses. A professional development reimbursement and technology stipend are provided annually. Base salary may vary based on education, skill, experience, licensure/certifications, internal salary ranges, location, and business needs.
