- Oversee technical reviews of statutory reports and regulatory returns for compliance and accuracy
- Manage annual updates to statutory and group reporting disclosures
- Prepare reporting for Group and Audit Committees on technical accounting matters
- Resolve technical/subjective external audit comments
- Partner with teams across Finance and the business on accounting policy implementation
- Support global Finance teams on technical accounting matters and non-routine transactions
- Prepare technical accounting papers for internal and external use
- Serve as point of contact for external auditors on technical matters
Essential:
- Qualified Accountant (CPA) - preferred not required
- 5+ years accounting experience, preferably in P&C insurance
- External audit background in large public accounting firm
- Experience with large insurance groups and NAIC reporting in P&C context
- Strong technical knowledge of accounting concepts (specifically NAIC SSAP) in insurance
