Tax Accountant
Salary Range: $70,000 – $90,000 annually
Location: Fort Lauderdale, FL.
Hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Full-Time)

Join a growing tax-focused organization supporting individuals and fiduciary clients through accurate, timely tax preparation and compliance. This role is ideal for an experienced Tax Accountant who is hands-on, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing a full workload during peak tax seasons. You’ll work in a structured but flexible environment where quality, accountability, and deadlines are key.

Responsibilities of the Tax Accountant:

• Prepare and review individual (1040) and fiduciary (1041) tax returns
• Ensure compliance with federal and state tax laws and regulations
• Manage multiple tax engagements while meeting strict deadlines
• Review tax documents for accuracy and completeness
• Utilize tax preparation software to efficiently complete filings
• Maintain organized and accurate tax records and documentation
• Communicate professionally regarding tax-related questions or issues

Qualifications:

• 4–5+ years of hands-on tax preparation experience
• Strong experience preparing individual tax returns (1040s)
• Fiduciary return experience (1041) strongly preferred
• Experience with Pro Series or similar tax preparation software
• Active PTIN or willingness to obtain immediately
• Reliable personal computer setup suitable for full-time remote work (equipment not provided)
• Ability to commit full-time for the duration of the assignment with no concurrent full-time roles
