We are seeking an experienced Part-Time Tax Manager (20–30 hours per week) to join our growing team. This role offers flexibility, autonomy, and the opportunity to support a diverse client portfolio.

Employment is contingent on passing a mandatory Background Investigation. The salary for this role will be based on the experience, education, and skill set of the individual for the position.

This position is hybrid, and applicants must (or plan to) reside in Atlanta, GA by start of employment.

Role Description

This is a part-time hybrid role located in Atlanta, GA, with a mix of in-office and remote work. The Tax Manager, will lead and oversee tax compliance and advisory projects for a variety of individual and business clients. This role involves reviewing federal, state, and local tax returns and offering strategic recommendations to enhance clients’ tax planning. You will supervise, coach, and mentor both staff and senior team members, fostering professional growth and high-quality work.

Responsibilities include preparing tax projections, managing estimated payments, and crafting responses to tax notices. You will also provide support during routine tax audits, handle inquiries, and correspond with federal and state agencies. Additionally, you will deliver proactive tax planning and consulting services designed to optimize client tax positions and drive value.

Qualifications
  • Minimum 3+ years of public accounting experience with a focus on tax
  • CPA license preferred (active or in progress)
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, federal, and state tax laws
  • Workflow tools (e.g., SharePoint, Teams)
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines effectively
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field required
