Accounts Payable Specialist

Imperative Chemical Partners is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our Accounting team. This role is responsible for ensuring invoices are accurately processed, verified, and paid on time while supporting month-end close, audits, and continuous process improvement.

• Receive, review, code, and match invoices for payment
• Enter and upload invoices into the accounting system
• Reconcile accounts payable transactions and resolve discrepancies
• Communicate with vendors regarding invoices and payment status
• Process expense reports and manage corporate credit cards
• Monitor AP accounts to ensure payments are current
• Maintain organized electronic filing and documentation
• Prepare monthly reports and support audits with required documentation
• Proactively recommend and support process improvements
• Perform other accounting-related duties as assigned

• Minimum 4 years of Accounts Payable experience
• Strong working knowledge of accounts payable and general accounting procedures
• Proficiency in Excel
• High attention to detail with strong organizational skills
• Accurate data entry and 10-key skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Experience with Quick Books preferred (not required)
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Fully remote position
• Must have reliable internet and ability to work standard business hours
• Hourly pay range: $24–$26/hour
