A small, family-focused public accounting firm in Chesterfield, MO (just outside St. Louis) is seeking a Tax Preparer on a contract-to-hire basis. This is a hybrid role with 3 days work-from-home and 2 days onsite
.
- Prepare and file individual tax returns (1040s)
- Prepare and file business tax returns (1120s)
- Ensure accuracy and compliance with federal and state tax regulations
- Support tax season deliverables and deadlines
- Handle tax work with minimal supervision
- Prior experience preparing 1040 and 1120 tax returns
- Comfortable working independently on tax preparation
- Tax firm experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail and organization
- No client interaction required
- Hybrid flexibility (3 WFH / 2 onsite)
- Small, supportive, family-oriented office
- Steady tax-focused workload
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys tax work and prefers a behind-the-scenes position in a stable, local public accounting firm in St. Louis, MO.
