The HT Group has a fintech client in Austin, TX, looking for an Accounting Clerk who is detail-oriented, organized, and proactive to support day-to-day accounting operations across accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general ledger functions in a fast-growing, high-impact environment.
Our client is a rapidly scaling fintech company, known for their collaborative, high-energy culture, strong internal growth opportunities, and award-winning workplace. The company is headquartered in a dog-friendly, modern Austin office and offers a hybrid schedule (in-office Monday–Thursday, optional work-from-home Fridays).
This is a
contract-to-hire position, paying $24-$34 an hour depending on experience.
- Manage accounts receivable processes, including invoicing, recurring billing, collections tracking, and payment application
- Oversee accounts payable activities such as vendor setup, W-9 collection, disbursement processing, and credit card reconciliations
- Prepare and post journal entries, support general ledger accuracy, and assist with month-end and year-end close activities
- Support funding request processes by organizing and maintaining required financial documentation
- Provide ongoing operational and administrative support to the Controller on daily accounting tasks and special projects
- 1+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience
- Working knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
- Hands-on experience with Quick Books
- Advanced Excel skills with strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
