Accounts Senior - Accountancy Practice Taunton (Office-based, with some WFH flexibility) Salary up to £40,000

I'm working with a well-established and growing accountancy practice in Taunton who are looking to add an experienced Accounts Senior to their friendly and supportive team.

This is a great opportunity for an AAT qualified / part-qualified ACCA accountant (QBE also considered) who enjoys managing a varied client portfolio and working closely with senior staff and partners.

You'll be responsible for delivering high-quality accounting and compliance services to a mixed client base, ensuring deadlines are met and clients receive an excellent level of service.

Key responsibilities include:

• Preparing year-end accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies

• Producing VAT returns and management accounts

• Assisting with personal and corporation tax compliance

• Liaising directly with clients to gather information and resolve queries

• Supporting senior accountants and partners with ad-hoc work

• AAT qualified with at least 3 years' experience in an accountancy practice

• Strong understanding of UK accounting standards and tax compliance

• Confident using software such as Xero, Sage, and Quick Books

• Highly organised with excellent attention to detail

• A confident communicator with a proactive, professional approach
