The Role:

We are looking for a debit and credit expert. This is not a basic bookkeeping role; we need someone with a deep understanding of accounting principles and audit-level precision.

You will be responsible for the full accounting cycle, ensuring that every transaction is categorized correctly and that our financial statements for multiple companies are CPA-ready every single month.

This role is ideal for a seasoned professional—perhaps someone coming from an audit background or a former CPA looking to move into a semi-retired or more flexible pace without losing the technical challenge of complex accounting.

• The Monthly Close:
  Manage the end-to-end monthly close process and generate accurate, timely financial statements.
• General Ledger Mastery:
  Perform and oversee all bookkeeping, ensuring flawless entry of debits and credits.
• Reconciliations:
  Perform deep-dive reconciliations of all bank accounts, credit cards, and intercompany accounts.
• Payroll Oversight:
  Manage and oversee the payroll process to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Audit Readiness:
  Maintain files and records in a way that is ready for year-end tax preparation or external audits.
• Reporting:
  Provide ownership with clear insights into cash flow and departmental spending.

• Technical Expertise:
  You must be extremely proficient with debits, credits, and GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
• Background:
  An audit background is highly preferred. We need someone who understands why the numbers go where they go, not just how to enter them.
• Software:
  Expert-level proficiency in Quick Books Online is a must.
• Experience:
  
  Significant years of experience in high-level accounting. This is not an entry-level position.
• Industry Knowledge:
  Experience in Agriculture or Equine industries is a significant plus but not required.
• Character:
  You are detail-obsessed, organized, and thrive in a professional yet rural office environment.

  Work from our stunning new office on a world-class 400-acre ranch. There is a possibility for a remote position, but preference will be given to candidates willing to work on-site.
