Job Description
The Accounting Manager reports to the Operational Sr. Accounting Manager and provides accounting support and analysis for acquired companies and multiple segments. The role interacts with Operational and Corporate personnel to establish and monitor accounting policies in accordance with GAAP and company policy, and presents segment financial results to senior management.
Essential Functions- Manage daily operations of the accounting team and resolve accounting and business issues.
- Prepare and present variance analysis for segment balance sheets and income statements monthly and quarterly.
- Prepare, analyze and present financial reporting packages for operational and environmental segments.
- Oversee financial accounting and reporting of acquired companies.
- Manage month‑end accounting activities to report segment financial results timely and accurately.
- Assist with financial planning preparation.
- Provide guidance to the accounting team and across the operational accounting structure by training and developing them in accounting resolutions, guidance and company policies.
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors and provide needed information for audit requirements.
- Assist senior management with process improvement ideas and implementations.
- Participate in ad hoc projects as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned.
EducationBachelor’s degree in accounting.
Master’s degree in accounting/finance preferred.
ExperienceFive (5) years or more experience in public accounting or four (4) years with a master’s degree.
Skills- Detail oriented and excellent analytical, communication (written and oral), organizational and research skills.
- Ability to organize and manage multiple processes.
- Ability to interact with senior management.
- Ability to team‑build and assist others when needed.
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred.
Travel10–20% to HQ (Miami).
CompensationSalary range: $110,000 – $130,000. Eligible for annual bonus, commission, and long‑term incentive plan based on level and type.
