Job Title: Senior Accountant
Location: Deerfield, IL (Hybrid – 2 days in office)
Salary: $80,000 – $100,000 + Bonus
We are seeking a hands-on Senior Accountant to join a growing healthcare-focused organization. The Senior Accountant will play a key role in month-end close, financial reporting, and maintaining strong internal controls. This hybrid role allows the Senior Accountant to work from home most of the week while collaborating in-office on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Responsibilities:
Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
Reconcile balance sheet accounts, including accruals, prepaid expenses, and fixed assets.
Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
Maintain general ledger transactions and ensure compliance with internal controls.
Identify process improvements and assist with ad-hoc accounting projects.
Support accounts receivable, accounts payable, and other accounting functions as needed.
Senior Accountant Qualifications:
Bachelor’s in Accounting required; CPA preferred or in progress
3–5 years of accounting experience, preferably in healthcare, life sciences, or high-growth companies
Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and month-end close procedures
