PRIMARY TASKS OF THE DIRECTOR OF PROPERTY ACCOUNTING

• Oversee all property accounting including preparation of journal vouchers, accruals, income, and expense items related to assigned properties.
• Maintenance of systems and documentation relating to capital expenditures, fixed assets, and lease data including rent ups, CAM, and accruals.
• Provides accounting support on GAAP related issues for revenue recognition, fixed asset & depreciation, WIP, expenses and other areas.
• Manages data for month, quarter, and year end close, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting needs of the organization and all external parties.
• Prepares financial statements and reports, conducts analysis, and adheres to organizational financial policies.
• Supporting management by resolving discrepancies and preparing data for decision making process.
• Conducts financial analysis, ensures compliance for debt arrangements, coordinates with external financial partners.

EXPERIENCE PREFERRED FOR THE DIRECTOR OF PROPERTY ACCOUNTING

• BS in Accounting
• CPA required
• 8+ years experience
• Property accounting experience, residential or industrial
• Supervisory experience
