Our client is looking to hire a Property Accountant to join their collaborative, fast‑paced accounting team. They are a growth‑oriented commercial real estate investment firm with a well-known portfolio nationwide. This Property Accountant role plays a critical part in supporting daily accounting operations, financial reporting, and banking activities across multiple entities. The Property Accountant will report to and also work very closely with the Controller and work closely with additional members of the accounting team.
This role is HYBRID with onsite and ability to work from home.
Base salary: $90,000-$100,000 plus discretionary bonus

Property Accountant Job Duties:
- Prepare month‑end close and financial reporting packages for multiple entities
- Post general ledger entries and review bank account reconciliations
- Assist with annual budgeting and forecasting
- Manage real estate tax payments and appeals
- Process monthly mortgage payments
- Coordinate with development and acquisitions teams on draws, wires, and closing‑related accounting
- Calculate annual tenant operating expense reconciliations and estimates
- Review and approve invoices and manage batch processing through Avid Exchange
- Review audit and tax packages as needed
- Support acquisition activities and special projects as assigned
Property Accountant Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, etc.
- 3–5 years of accounting experience within commercial real estate
- Experience with MRI and Yardi
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Strong organizational, communication, and time‑management abilities
- Ability to meet deadlines in a dynamic environment with competing priorities
