Controller-level Senior GL Accountant - 4 days onsite in North Houston area

Salary: $80,000 - $120,000 per year.

Industry: Upstream Oil & Gas (Private Equity-Backed)

• Manage full‑cycle general ledger accounting across 5 entities
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and manage month‑end close activities
• Support accounts receivable and assist with AP as needed
• Collaborate closely with a small accounting team and cross‑functional office staff
• Maintain accuracy, timeliness, and strong financial controls across all entities

• 3+ years of GL accounting experience
• 2+ years of recent Oil & Gas experience (upstream/E&P preferred; midstream or downstream acceptable)
• Strong understanding extrem balance sheets, reconciliations, and financial statements
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs)
• Ability to work on‑site Monday‑Thursday (Friday WFH available)

• Experience with Oil & Gas ERP systems such as Quorum OnDemand or OGsys Jude
• Familiarity with multi‑entity accounting environments

Ideal candidates will reside in NW Houston areas such as Cypress or Magnolia. Long commutes from Sugar Land or far SE Houston are not recommended due to onsite requirements.
