We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Accountant to manage a broad range of accounting, bookkeeping, tax, and financial responsibilities. This role supports multiple business entities and is ideal for a numbers-driven professional who thrives in a remote environment and takes pride in accuracy, organization, and process improvement.
This is a remote position with minimum of 20 hours per week
Applicants must be U.S.
-based.
- Prepare and review individual and business tax returns for multiple companies
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records and financial documentation
- Prepare financial statements, reports, and summaries for management and clients
- Reconcile bank statements and research discrepancies
- Process business transactions using accounting software (Quick Books Desktop and Online)
- Provide accounting and financial support to internal teams and clients
- Ensure compliance with established standards, procedures, and applicable laws
- Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and operational efficiency
- Research, track, and resolve accounting or documentation issues
- Stay current with continuing education and industry best practices
- Proven experience in accounting and bookkeeping
- Strong knowledge of basic accounting principles and payroll procedures
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, databases, and Quick Books Desktop and Online
- Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and financial reporting
- Comfort with video conferencing and online communication tools
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong numerical aptitude and analytical problem-solving skills
- Excellent organization, filing, and record-keeping abilities
- Data entry and word processing proficiency
- Associates degree in Accounting or a relevant certification required
- Quick Books Online experience (2–3 years preferred)
This contractor position has the potential to convert to part-time or full-time employment based on performance and business needs.
