Otter Sec is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to support and manage core accounting operations across multiple entities. This role will be responsible for day‑to‑day accounting activities, ensuring accurate financial records, timely reconciliations, and compliance with applicable accounting standards. The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, hands‑on, and comfortable operating in a fast‑paced, multi‑entity environment.

• Own the general ledger and day‑to‑day accounting for multiple legal entities
• Record invoices for customer services and reconcile customer accounts against billable time/expenses
• Manage month‑end close, journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations across entities
• Manage inter‑company transactions, allocations, and reconciliations
• Handle invoicing, collections, and accounts payable

• Track and reconcile crypto payments from clients (ETH, BTC, stable coins)
• Account for crypto treasury holdings and on‑chain transactions by entity
• Reconcile wallets using blockchain explorers and crypto accounting tools
• Maintain practical crypto accounting policies suitable for a startup and multi‑entity structure

• Own vendor and customer onboarding across multiple entities
• Set up and maintain vendor and customer profiles in accounting systems
• Collect and manage onboarding documentation (contracts, payment terms, W‑9/W‑8, wallet addresses)
• Ensure correct entity assignment for billing, payments, and revenue recognition
• Maintain accurate records for fiat and crypto payment methods

• Maintain basic internal controls around payments, invoicing, and wallet access
• Support external accountants, tax advisors, and entity‑level compliance requirements
• Assist with tax filings
• Ensure clean, well‑documented records for each legal entity

• Build and document simple, scalable accounting and onboarding processes for a multi‑entity setup
• Improve billing, inter‑company, and crypto‑tracking workflows
• Help select and implement tools as the company grows (e.g., Quick Books, Xero, crypto tracking tools)
• Identify gaps and recommend when additional structure or resources are needed

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a senior or supervisory role
• Strong knowledge of GAAP or IFRS
• Experience preparing financial statements and supporting audits
• High attention to detail and strong analytical skills

• CPA, CA, or equivalent professional certification
• Experience working with cryptocurrencies, digital assets, or blockchain‑based businesses
• Familiarity with crypto wallets, exchanges, and on‑chain transaction tracking
• Experience in tech startups, SaaS, or Web3 companies
