The firm is currently undergoing a technology transformation to enhance efficiency, analytics, and virtual service delivery in tax preparation, tax planning, and tax analysis through the use of modern accounting software and emerging technologies.
Internship Overview & StructureThis internship is designed to provide practical hands-on experience in public accounting and taxation. Interns will complete approximately 12–15 days of in-office training at the firm’s Lisbon, North Dakota office. After successful completion of the onboarding and training period, qualified interns may transition to a remote work arrangement
, subject to firm policies and strict adherence to data security and confidentiality requirements.
All work—whether in-office or remote—must be performed using firm-approved systems in compliance with internal security and data protection standards.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in the preparation of individual and small business federal and state tax returns
- Organize, review, and input client financial data and supporting tax documentation
- Perform basic tax research related to deductions, credits, and compliance requirements
- Support tax planning and tax analysis projects under the supervision of senior staff
- Assist with bookkeeping tasks, including reconciliations and data entry, as needed
- Maintain client files and documentation in accordance with confidentiality and security policies
The internship is expected to last approximately 12 weeks
