Up to £40,000 per year Job Type: Full-time, Permanent About the Company A well-established accountancy practice in Taunton is dedicated to providing exceptional service to clients across a range of sectors. Due to continued growth, the firm is seeking an experienced AAT Qualified / Part ACCA Qualified Accountant (QBE considered) to join its friendly and professional team.

The Role The Accounts Senior will play a key role in delivering high-quality accounting and compliance services to clients. This individual will manage a varied portfolio and work closely with senior staff to ensure deadlines and regulatory requirements are met.

Key Responsibilities:

Preparing year-end accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies. Preparing and submitting VAT returns and management accounts. Assisting with personal and corporation tax compliance. Liaising with clients to gather information and resolve queries promptly. Supporting senior accountants and partners with ad-hoc tasks.

The Ideal Candidate AAT Qualified with at least 3 years’ experience in an accountancy practice. Strong knowledge of UK accounting standards and tax compliance. Proficient in accounting software (e.g., Xero, Sage, Quick Books) and Microsoft Office. Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills. A confident communicator with a proactive approach.
