Specialist Tax

Role Purpose

The role will be to carry out all Indirect Tax activities including tax compliances, business support activities, audit support and project support w.r.t tax activities. The Job includes executing the deliverables in qualitative manner based on the business understanding, as per set timelines. The role will also require accounting knowledge with respect to Indirect tax accounts and ensure any closing balances are adequately justified.

Additionally, dealing with all queries related to any tax / tax accounting issue is part of the profile. Job also requires dealing with other functions within and outside India GSC.

Key Accountabilities

Preparation and filing tax returns as per Indirect Tax Laws
Prepare revenue and expense analysis
Research of tax variance
Preparation and upload of reconciliations
Journal preparation for tax Payment and re-class
Preparation of WHT Certificates
Arranging tax payment
Invoice extraction
Ensure adherence to SOX requirements in process activities.
Recommend process improvements along with implementation after consulting team/manager etc.

Key Skills & Experiences

Education   CA /CWA (0-2 years of experience) or CA(I)/CWA(I)/Graduate with minimum 3+ years of relevant experience.

Experience   Strong accounting and tax background.

Technical Skills And Knowledge

Sound conceptual understanding of indirect tax law and practical implications.
Knowledge of Accounting Principles, concepts and standards (local and International as applicable) and the ability to apply them to the company's Accounting practices. Ability to coordinate and interact with other functions/processed for accounting related matters.
Good interpersonal skills.
Possess good communication/presentation skills and overall a pleasing and positive personality. Must be willing & flexible to travel, open for flexible workings hours and shifts.
