Accountant
This role is a key member of the water accounting team, responsible for collaborating with water subsidiaries and the parent company’s Financial Reporting and Consolidation teams. The accountant ensures the production of high-quality internal and external financial reports.
Responsibilities- Collaborate with water subsidiaries and the parent company’s Financial Reporting and Consolidation teams.
- Prepare monthly journal entries and manage intercompany transactions.
- Perform monthly reconciliations and ensure accuracy in financial reporting.
- Engage in year-end reconciliation processes.
- Utilize Excel for data analysis, including Pivot Tables and XLOOKUP.
- Participate actively in month-end close processes, handling 55-65 journal entries.
- 2-3 years of accounting experience.
- Proficient in SAP, including SAP S4 Hana.
- Strong skills in Excel, particularly Pivot Tables and XLOOKUP.
- Initiative and problem-solving capabilities.
- Personable and professional demeanor with excellent customer service skills.
- High attention to detail and effective communication skills.
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with year-end reconciliation is a plus.
- Any additional SAP certifications or training.
- Advanced Excel skills are advantageous.
The position offers a hybrid work schedule, with two days in the office (including Tuesday) and one flexible day, while the remaining three days are work-from-home. Weekends may be required for month-end close and late hours.
Job Type & LocationContract position based out of Portland, OR.
