About

the Role

We’re seeking an experienced Bookkeeping specialist to join our remote team. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who can be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records for multiple clients. This role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to manage deadlines, and experience working in a CPA firm or professional accounting environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain full-cycle bookkeeping for multiple clients
  • Record and reconcile bank and credit card accounts
  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • Prepare and post journal entries
  • Maintain general ledgers and supporting schedules
  • Perform monthly and year-end reconciliations
  • Assist with month-end and year-end close
  • Prepare financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow)
  • Communicate with clients to resolve discrepancies
  • Support CPAs with work papers for tax filings and audits
  • Familiarity with payroll and sales tax filings
Requirements
  • 2+ years of bookkeeping experience
  • Strong understanding of debits and credits
  • Experience with Quick Books Online
  • Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines
Remote Work Prerequisites
  • A quiet "home office"
  • Computer with a webcam & headset (minimum 8GB RAM)
  • Stable, reliable power, and internet connection (at least 5 Mbps download speed and 2 Mbps upload speed)
  • A backup place of work in case they suffer a power cut or internet failure, as well as a secondary backup internet option (mobile hotspot, Multibam, WiPod, Satellite Internet, etc.)
