We are seeking a highly capable Audit & Accounts Senior, fully qualified CA(SA), to join our team in a 100% remote capacity. This role suits a self-driven professional with strong technical expertise who can manage audit engagements and accounts preparation independently while collaborating effectively with a distributed team.
You will be responsible for delivering high-quality audit and financial reporting work for a diverse client portfolio, while maintaining excellent communication and service standards in a remote working environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesAudit
- Lead audit engagements from planning through to completion in a remote setting
- Prepare and review audit working papers in line with ISA requirements
- Identify audit risks and design appropriate audit procedures
- Review work prepared by junior team members and provide remote coaching and feedback
- Draft audit findings, management letters, and audit reports
- Liaise with clients via video calls, email, and shared platforms to resolve queries
- Prepare and review statutory financial statements (FRS
102) - Ensure compliance with Companies Act and relevant accounting standards
- Review trial balances, reconciliations, and supporting schedules
- Assist with consolidations where required
- Support year-end and periodic reporting deadlines
- Act as a primary client contact on engagements
- Manage deadlines, budgets, and deliverables independently
- Support and mentor junior team members remotely
- Contribute to continuous improvement of remote audit and reporting processes
- Assist managers and partners with ad-hoc technical and advisory work
- Qualified Chartered Accountant (SA) – CA(SA) (essential)
- Completed SAICA articles
- Strong audit and financial reporting technical knowledge
- Proven experience in audit and accounts preparation
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple engagements remotely
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and professional judgement
- Experience with CCH, Xero, Quick Books, or similar systems (advantageous)
- Reliable high-speed internet connection
