AP Specialist​/Staff Accountant – CPG – Remote

We are working with an Accounting Advisory firm focusing on ecommerce and CPG businesses in search of a capable and committed Accounting Operations professional. This newly created role will report directly to the Director of Accounting and will work to maintain all company A/P and A/R activity, assist with payroll, as well as general financial reporting tasks.

The company has helped multiple brands grow well over $100 million in annual revenue and has been growing steadily for several years in a row.

Location: Remote

• Manage the full accounts payable cycle for multiple clients, including invoice intake, coding, approvals, and payments through  and related systems.
• Maintain vendor databases, collect compliance forms, and assist with year-end reporting requirements.
• Ensure accurate expense categorization for e‑commerce activities such as product costs, digital marketing, and order fulfillment.
• Coordinate and execute vendor payments via ACH, check, or wire, maintaining accuracy and timeliness to support vendor relationships and cash flow.
• Reconcile e‑commerce sales and financial data from platforms like Shopify or Amazon to ensure complete and accurate revenue recognition.
• Oversee employee spending and credit card transactions through expense management platforms, verifying proper documentation and accounting treatment.
• Prepare and reconcile client billing, record incoming payments from multiple sales channels, and monitor accounts receivable aging to address overdue balances.

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance and 2+ years of post‑graduate work experience
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, the ability to work both individually and as part of a team
• Fundamental understanding of inventory‑related accounting concepts
• Experience utilizing Excel and Microsoft Office products
