* The Opportunity:

**** Saint Luke’s Hospital
** is seeking a Senior Accountant who coordinates, implements, and oversees the entity's complex accounting activities including; journal entries, financial statements, fixed assets, account reconciliations, compliance with GAAP accounting, financial reporting requirements, and assistance with budget process. Must have Bachelors degree and 3-5 years experience. Grant, research, and/or fund accounting preferred.
** The Work:
*** Training and providing daily supervision of staff accountants accounting specialists accounting technicians and accounting interns.
* Reviews recorded journal entries and monthly financial statements identifying unusual or significant variances to ensure financial statements are fairly stated.
* Completion of accounting areas that are more complex or judgmental in nature with oversight from the manager or finance team.
* Position is responsible for special projects as assigned.

* Skills required:

*** Advanced Excel experience – comfort utilizing formulas, pivot tables, xlookup, vlookup, etc.
* Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
* Eager to problem solve, takes initiative, and works independently.
* Adaptability and critical thinking.
* Communication with physicians – routine, dependable, and professional.
* Must be organized and highly detail-oriented.
