Your role
- Working closely with the Tax Partners and other senior tax staff to develop and implement tax planning assignments for clients
- Performing technical research, developing and documenting tax planning recommendations
- Reviewing Canadian individual and corporate tax returns and other tax work prepared by staff
- Consulting with clients regarding various business and tax planning needs
- Adding value by identifying client service opportunities, including cross-team collaboration
- Coach, mentor, and develop staff for high performance and professional growth
- Share your skills with the broader team by developing and facilitating ongoing training opportunities
- Engage with all levels of the team while working to bring our strategy to life and participate in firm-wide events that foster our workplace culture
What you bring to the table
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in accounting or equivalent field
- CPA designation (preferred)
- Minimum of 2-4 years of total experience in tax within a professional services firm with a focus on private enterprises
- Demonstrated success providing exceptional client service
- Strong technical and analytical skills with problem-solving ability and professional judgment
- Strong project management and organizational skills; self-motivation with the ability to work independently and in a team
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
