Responsibilities- Help clients complete their tax returns using Intuit Turbo Tax products, providing tax guidance and reviewing self‑prepared returns.
- Prepare full‑service tax returns and manage product/software inquiries.
- Research and provide accurate information to clients using government websites, professional resources, and team expertise.
- Interact with clients via state‑of‑the‑art video communication software and document interactions for accurate records.
- Serve in a virtual, customer‑facing role requiring flexible scheduling of at least 20 hours per week.
- Provide real‑time guidance in both English and French to clients across Canada, ensuring proper use of tax forms such as T1135 and foreign income reporting.
- Minimum of 2+ years of paid professional tax preparation experience.
- Proficiency in tax software for preparing and filing personal tax returns with complex elements (employment, self‑employment, rental income, investments, T1135, foreign income, credits, deductions).
- Must be able to provide CRA Representative Identifier (RepID) upon onboarding.
- Fluency in both English and French; experience in French‑bilingual tax support is required.
- Experience preparing corporate (T2) and Quebec (TP1) tax returns is an asset.
- Strong tax expertise with knowledge of tax laws and ability to stay current on changes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication; active listening and empathy with clients.
- Complex problem‑solving, ability to take full ownership and resolve or escalating issues as needed.
- Resourcefulness and continuous learning mindset.
- Technical competence with troubleshooting and familiarity with required tools.
Competitive compensation package with a pay‑for‑performance rewards approach. The expected base pay range by region:
- PEI: $24.50 /hour – $33.50 /hour
- BC: $24.50 /hour – $33.50 /hour
- Nova Scotia: $24.50 /hour – $33.50 /hour
Eligible for cash bonus, equity rewards, and benefits. Pay is based on job‑related knowledge, skills, experience and work location.
