Role Description

Virtual Key Business Solutions is seeking a Part-Time Accounting Specialist (20 hours per week, US time 9 AM — 5 PM PST) to support one of our US-based clients. The Accounting Specialist will primarily handle data entry of accounts payable (A/P) bills , along with daily bank reconciliation, financial reporting, and other accounting-related data entry tasks
.

The ideal candidate will have strong Office 365 proficiency and advanced Excel skills , with the ability to manage accounting processes accurately and efficiently in a remote setting.
Power BI experience is a plus but not required.

This role requires attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to work independently while meeting deadlines.

Qualifications
  • Accounts Payable (A/P): Accurate data entry and management of vendor invoices, outgoing payments, and payment schedules
  • Bank Reconciliation: Ability to perform daily reconciliation of bank statements with company records to ensure accuracy
  • Reporting: Experience preparing and maintaining accounting-related reports
  • Office 365 Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of Office 365 tools for productivity and collaboration
  • Advanced Excel

    Skills:

    Expertise in advanced Excel functions and features (e.g., formulas, pivot tables, data analysis)
  • Power BI (Optional): Familiarity with Power BI is a plus but not required
  • Other Accounting Functions: Experience with additional accounting tasks (such as AR, bookkeeping, or financial reporting) is a strong advantage
