Responsibilities- Help customers complete their taxes using Intuit Turbo Tax products by providing tax guidance and reviewing personal tax returns for customers completing their tax return on their own.
- Prepare full‑service return preparation and manage product/software inquiries.
- Utilize government websites, professional resources, and team expertise to find and deliver the right answer to customers in plain language.
- Use state‑of‑the‑art video communication software for virtual customer interactions and document all interactions to maintain accurate records.
- Adhere to a flexible schedule with a minimum of 20 hours per week.
- Minimum of 2 years of paid professional tax preparation experience.
- Experience using professional tax software to prepare and file personal tax returns, including complex elements such as employment, self‑employment, rental income, investments, T1135 forms, foreign income, and various credits and deductions.
- Proficiency in both English and French, with the ability to provide real‑time guidance to clients in Canada.
- Ability to work independently in a virtual role and maintain accurate documentation.
- Experience preparing Business Tax (T2) returns.
- Experience preparing Quebec Tax (TP1) returns.
- Tax expertise – demonstrates a fundamental understanding of tax laws and concepts.
- Effective communication – uses written and verbal skills to provide quality service, with active listening to understand customer pain points.
- Complex problem solving – demonstrates commitment to understanding customer problems, taking ownership, and solving or escalating as appropriate.
- Resourcefulness – demonstrates curiosity and interest in continuous learning, following procedures and seeking resources to deliver suitable solutions.
- Technical acumen – shows interest in learning tools needed for the role and has basic troubleshooting ability.
- Excellent customer service skills and enthusiasm for interacting with customers via video and audio tools.
Intuit offers a competitive compensation package with a pay‑for‑performance rewards approach. The expected base pay range for this position is:
- PEI: $24.50–$33.50 per hour
- BC: $24.50–$33.50 per hour
- Nova Scotia: $24.50–$33.50 per hour
This position is eligible for a cash bonus, equity rewards, and benefits in accordance with our plans and programs. Pay offered is based on factors such as job‑related knowledge, skills, experience, and work location, and Intuit regularly conducts pay‑equity comparisons across ethnicity and gender categories.
