Position Summary:
We are seeking a seasoned and well‑rounded Senior Accountant (who is not afraid to roll up their sleeves and lead by example) to join our hardworking, internal accounting team which serves the nonprofit sector. We are a fiscal sponsor offering 501(c)(3) umbrella services, and we take pride in our comprehensive, full‑service accounting solutions. From daily processing of ACH, checks, and wires to monthly bank and investment account reconciliations, monthly credit card reconciliations, and delivering detailed financial reports within 15 days of month‑end closure, we handle all aspects of financial accounting management, including payroll, 1099, W‑2, and W9 functions as well.
We need someone who doesn’t mind playing the mundane and redundant accounting transactions and daily tasks while keeping a nice eye out for good, upbeat customer service. Must be available 9 am–6 pm PST, Monday through Friday, working collaboratively with our team.

- Disbursements daily (ACH/Wire, credit card and checks)
- Monthly reconciliation of bank and investment accounts
- Assist with weekly bill pay processing
- Assist with payroll functions
- Assist with deposit functions
- Professional interaction with clients
- Record and reconcile investment account activity
- Help create and review invoices and payments
- Monitor and reconcile multiple credit card and merchant account platforms (Pay Pal, Stripe, Every.org, Network for Good, etc.)

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- 10 years of professional (preferred), well‑rounded accounting experience, experience in smaller settings a plus
- Strong experience with payables, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Prior nonprofit accounting experience a plus (not required)
- Sound understanding of accounting principles and procedures, like financial statements, debits and credits
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Google Workspace, and accounting software (Xero is our accounting software)
