Our Private Clients Tax team is looking to add a Non-profit Senior Tax Accountant who is already specialized or eager to grow their expertise in the non-profit tax compliance space. This role is a great opportunity for anyone passionate about tax, and who is looking to step into a highly visible role with sophisticated clients.

At LBMC, the Non-profit Senior Tax Accountant will have the chance to work on complex tax returns within the non-profit space and beyond. Leadership will support learning initiatives based on candidate preference, and new hires will be exposed to a diverse set of non-profit organizations.

SCOPE OF WORK

  • Prepares returns and resolves tax questions for clients both locally and on a national scale
  • Able to work independently and make decisions on ordinary tax return matters in a consultative setting
  • Set appointments with clients and assembles information to prepare or arrange for the preparation of federal, state and local returns
  • Maintains control on time and charges. Recommends billing to supervisor, manager, or Shareholder-in-charge for tax clients
  • Oversees ad hoc tax planning, research, and consulting projects and engagements
  • Works diligently building relationships with key stakeholders at client organizations to continue to foster a long-term partnership between the LBMC Tax Department and external clients.
  • Adheres to LBMC’s defined processes and procedures including the firm's policy on privacy and client confidentiality.

IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILE

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Licensed CPA preferred (or 150 credit hours necessary to sit for the CPA exam)
  • 2+ years of progressive tax experience
