We are looking for a Accounts Payable Assistant to join our Mayer team Remotely in Pennsylvania!
Summary:
The Accounts Payable Assistant is responsible for ensuring prompt resolution and processing for Accounts Payable transactions. Will have a good understanding of the three-way match process and proper general ledger accounting and accounts payable procedures. Ensures that e‑mail requests from internal and external customers are answered in a timely manner. Will utilize intermediate Excel skills, basic accounting principles, and demonstrate outstanding communication skills.
You’ll Do
- Navigate and work in various Automated ERP systems utilizing EDI, OCR, and manual entry
- Validate and process invoices for goods and services matching against purchase orders and/or validating general ledger accounting, including proper approvals, correct vendor, payment terms, and document retention
- Monitor multiple email inboxes daily; distribute to internal and external customer for resolution while utilizing outstanding verbal and written skills
- Use various software applications such as spreadsheets and word documents to format data and reports
- Other duties as assigned

- 1+ years of directly related accounts payable experience
- Prior experience working with three‑way match
- Prior experience working in a Multi System environment
- High School or GED - Required
- Proven time management skills with the ability to work efficiently and balance numerous tasks/projects in a multi system environment
- Ability to multi‑task and work under time constraints
- Ability to work closely with others as a team player with a positive attitude, and the ability to work with minimal supervision
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines set‑forth by Management including but not limited to month‑end close activities
- High attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to work in a high‑volume atmosphere
- Problem solving and critical thinking skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Excel, and Outlook (Ability to sort, filter and use basic Excel functions required)
