Joining H&R Block as a seasonal, experienced Tax Professional means you’ll serve clients with diverse tax needs with the support of an expert team, dedicated to providing you with advanced tax training you’ll need to be successful.

• Conduct tax interviews with clients face to face and through virtual tools (video, phone, chat, email).
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns.
• Generate business growth, increase client retention, and offer additional products and services.
• Provide clients with IRS support.
• Mentor and support teammates.
• Support tax notice and audit-related activities based on certification level.

What you’ll bring to the team

• Enrollments or completion of the H&R Block Income Tax Course or Tax Knowledge Assessment (not a guaranteed offer of employment).
• Experience conducting virtual tax interviews.
• Experience with tax planning and audit support.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field; CPA or Enrolled Agent certification (preferred).
• 5+ years of experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping or tax.
• Experience with tax preparation for individual, trust, and partnership returns.
• Sales and/or marketing experience.

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment
• Experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping or tax
• Experience completing individual returns
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment
• Comfort with virtual tools (video, phone, chat) and clear written and verbal communication
• Must complete continuing education requirements and meet IRS/state requirements
• High school diploma or equivalent or higher
