Corporate Accounting Manager

A great UHY client is seeking a Corporate Accounting Manager to join their team. The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of experience in Accounting/Finance. A CPA and public accounting experience is highly preferred, but not required.

The Corporate Accounting Manager is an onsite position, but will transition to hybrid after training. This is a client direct hire position.

• Responsible for the oversight of the corporate accounting ledger including approval of journal entries, review of account reconciliations and overall analysis of the results.
• Responsible for the oversight of North American shared services for accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash application, inventory cost accounting and payroll reconciliation. Direct oversight of home office accounting as well as U.S. regional accounting.
• Accounting and reporting (U.S. GAAP as well as statutory) for specific holding companies
• Ensure that the intercompany balances worldwide are appropriately recorded and consolidate on a monthly basis
• Manage monthly close procedures for home office and holding companies
• Oversee the global monthly close and consolidation
• Lead continuous improvement in the timeliness and quality of financial data and reporting from ERP system.
• Ensure consistency and quality of financial statement methodologies and classification across locations.
• Initiate and design procedures to maintain a robust internal control environment and sufficient safeguarding of assets.
• Identify opportunities to further leverage financial systems; drive improvements in process efficiency and effectiveness.
• Manage staff performance; including setting goals and objectives, coaching, and delivering results.
• Act as a business partner to colleagues in product line operations, plant manufacturing, and central functions. Proactively provide information and solutions to facilitate key business decision making and ensure appropriate accounting treatment for transactions.

Corporate Accounting Manager Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or equivalent field of study.
• Minimum seven years of experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Previous supervisory experience.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
