Principal CPA, Director of Client Accounting Services (CAS)

We are seeking an experienced CPA to manage client relationships end-to-end, ensure we deliver on promises, identify opportunities, and provide strategic recommendations. You will be deeply connected to clients  goals and passionate about helping entrepreneurs succeed. This is a full-time, remote role with opportunities to lead a team.

• Setting, Communicating, and Implementing Team Goals:
  Create a clear vision and strategic objectives for the client delivery team, using EOS principles to align and move forward.
• Building a Positive, High-Performing Culture:
  Foster collaboration, inclusivity, and high performance within the Delivery Team.
• Mentoring and Supporting the Team:
  Guide Senior Accountants to lead their Pods, nurture client relationships, and help team members grow in their roles.
• Nurturing Client Relationships and Service Excellence:
  Maintain high client satisfaction, build strong relationships, uphold quality standards, and engage in proactive, strategic conversations about clients  financial health and growth.
• Measuring and Optimizing Performance:
  Use KPIs and other metrics to track team performance, ensure compliance, and make data-driven decisions to sustain excellence.
• Continuously Improving Team Efficiency and Client Services:
  Seek ways to enhance effectiveness, streamline workflows, and explore new services to boost client growth.
• Staying Ahead of Industry Changes and Innovating:
  Proactively monitor accounting rule updates and regulatory shifts, applying changes to stay compliant and identify opportunities to innovate for clients.

You ll have a flexible schedule, be able to work from anywhere, and participate in company benefit programs.

• Ability to be approachable yet professional in written and verbal communications
• An avid student of the latest accounting rules, regulations, and guidelines
• CPA with 8+ years of experience, primarily in public accounting with a variety of clients
• passion for developing and empowering teams through coaching and mentoring
• Comfortable in client-facing relationships and getting to know clients  businesses and people
• Detail-oriented with careful proofreading and accuracy in work
• Excellent communication and proactive about deadlines
• Comfortable working online, in cloud-based applications, and using various software tools
• Discretion and protection of clients  privacy and sensitive information
• Proactive attitude and desire to find new and better ways to get work done
• Get-it-done mindset to meet client deadlines and commitments
• Experience with at least one cloud-based accounting platform (preferably Xero; could be QBO, Sage, Netsuite, etc.)
• Familiarity with project management or practice management tools to track work and document accomplishments
