Overview
An Accounting Specialist, Managed Services supports daily accounting tasks for clients and works both independently and as part of a team. The role is client-oriented and may involve participation in sales activities as part of project work.
Responsibilities- Process accounting tasks on behalf of clients, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Invoicing, Timesheet and Expense processing, and account reconciliations.
- Utilize Costpoint core and add-on functionality to support client requirements.
- Organize and execute assigned activities as directed by the Project Team, Senior or Principal Business Application Consultant.
- Develop and maintain internal and client-facing documentation, user guides, and templates.
- Adapt to learn new skills and modules as directed by the Manager.
- This is a customer-facing position.
- Proven experience as an accounting specialist or equivalent position.
- Highly motivated and self-directed work ethic.
- Aptitude in creative problem-solving and strong analytical abilities.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
- Analytical mind with excellent data collection and analysis skills.
- Willingness to work occasional nights and weekends if required; remote work and potential travel may be required.
- 2+ years of experience with Deltek products.
- AS/AA in business administration or relevant field preferred; years of experience considered in lieu of degree.
- Deltek Certification in Accounts Payable, Billing & Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, Projects, Time Collection, Expense or ability to become certified within 1 year of employment depending on role.
