About the Firm:

We have partnered with a growing public accounting firm located in the Denver metro area dedicated to delivering personalized tax, accounting, and advisory services to a diverse client base, including individuals, businesses, and nonprofit organizations. Our client is seeking a talented Tax Manager to work directly with the firm partners to manage client relationships and help facilitate growth.

Position Summary:

The Tax Manager will oversee the preparation and review of complex tax returns, provide tax planning strategies, and manage client relationships. This individual will work closely with firm leadership and mentor staff while ensuring compliance with applicable tax laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and review the preparation of federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, trusts, and nonprofit organizations.
• Provide proactive tax planning and consulting services to clients across a variety of industries.
• Research complex tax issues and provide well-supported recommendations and solutions.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a primary point of contact for tax-related matters.
• Supervise, mentor, and train staff and seniors, providing performance feedback and career development support.
• Collaborate with firm leadership to identify opportunities for growth and process improvements.
• Stay current with changes in tax regulations and industry developments.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field;
  Master’s in Taxation preferred.
• CPA license required.
• 6+ years of recent tax experience in public accounting.
• Strong technical knowledge of federal and state tax laws and regulations.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a remote environment.
• Proficiency with tax software (e.g., CCH Axcess, Ultra Tax, Pro System fx, or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite.
