Your mission

We are looking for you asa (
Senior) Backend Engineer (m/f/d)) at our headquarters in Munich
, in our offices in Berlin
, Halle (Saale) and Sofia
, or remotely from anywhere in Germany.

• Responsibility
  :
  You will be responsible for the further development of our self-developed platform using proven coding, design, and quality management methods, finding optimal solutions for technical challenges.
• Coding
  :
  You will develop our web-based platform using state-of-the-art approaches with PHP and Symfony, apply the principles of Clean Code, and document your source code in a structured manner.
• Improvement
  :
  You will contribute your experience to the development and design of new features in your product team and share your technical knowledge in cross-functional formats.
• Team
  :
  You will be an integral part of a product team consisting of experienced product people and engineers, exchanging ideas with them on equal footing to continuously improve our platform. Additionally, you will act as a technical point of contact for our junior engineers.
• Know-How
  :
  You master your craft, participate in validation and functional testing of modern IT applications, support adjustments or maintenance tasks, and ensure a future-proof, efficient, and scalable development of our software solution.

• You have relevant training or a degree in mathematics, computer science, natural sciences, or engineering, or bring extensive professional experience.
• You are an experienced software developer with long-standing expertise in building web applications using PHP, Symfony, MySQL, and other modern technologies, and you're open to experimenting with unconventional approaches to drive our platform's development forward.
• You enjoy diving into complex systems and understanding diverse user groups, maintain high-quality standards, and have a passion for software development.
• You thrive in a cross-functional Scrum team and actively participate in collaborative formats (e.g., hackathons or tech days).
• You are proficient with Git, containerization technologies (Docker and Kubernetes), Jira, and much more.
• You communicate confidently in English and bring a healthy sense of humor to the team.
• You are enthusiastic about continuously improving and optimizing our platform, and you’re excited to tackle technical challenges with creativity and innovation.
