• Design, optimize, and maintain high-performance databases, data pipelines, and APIs for suena’s energy trading and analytics platform.
• Model complex time-series data, enable robust integrations with modelling and data science teams, and ensure data reliability and scalability.
• Drive automations to streamline data flows and system processes across the platform.
• Build solutions for both greenfield and legacy systems - refactor, tune, and scale our backend to support new market and trading initiatives.
• Collaborate closely with backend, modelling, and product teams to deliver seamless data flows and high-quality analytics in production.
• Focus on data integrity, security, and system availability as the platform grows.

• 5+ years’ experience in backend development, deep expertise in SQL & No

  DB), and complex, data-driven systems (e.g. energy, finance, IoT, trading).
• Proven experience designing and scaling databases, optimizing performance, and building reliable ETL/data pipelines in cloud environments (AWS preferred).
• Hands-on with Python (Django/FastAPI), Dev Ops, CI/CD, Docker, async workflows (Celery, Redis), and modern testing/monitoring setups.
• Security-first and data-driven mindset, comfortable with both greenfield engineering and legacy code/data refactoring.
• Excellent communication skills in English (B2/C1); able to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams.
• Deal breakers:
