What you’ll work on
Batene develops next-generation battery technologies based on innovative materials, precise laboratory processes, and our proprietary batenefleece™ technology. In our lab, we create the foundation for high-performance electrodes through careful coating, material characterization, and close collaboration with cell technology development.
We are therefore looking for team members who enjoy hands-on laboratory work, are curious about new materials, and are motivated to further develop lab processes with care, curiosity, and technical understanding. If you are excited by modern laboratory environments, advanced coating technologies, and working with functional nonwovens and electrodes, Batene is the right place for you.
Your responsibilities- Manufacturing and coating of electrodes using our proprietary batenefleece™ as well as conventional current collector foils
- Operation and maintenance of laboratory equipment for coating, drying, and process handling
- Performing quality analyses of nonwovens and electrodes
- Supporting electrochemical testing and the preparation of cell assemblies
- Documentation of experiments, measurement data, and process parameters
- Contributing to the further development of laboratory processes, work instructions, and quality standards
- Close collaboration with the cell technology team and interfaces such as nonwoven production and procurement
Your profile
- A completed vocational qualification as a laboratory technician, chemical technical assistant (CTA/PTA), materials tester, or a comparable qualification
- Several years of hands-on laboratory experience, ideally in batteries, electrode manufacturing, coatings, paints, or chemical process technologies
- Strong interest in new materials and emerging technologies
- Careful, structured, and independent working style
- High willingness to learn and strong curiosity
- Confident handling of laboratory equipment and routine in experimental documentation
- A Team-oriented mindset and a strong sense of responsibility
- Good command of German and/or English
A growing environment
:
At Batene, building new things and continuous learning are part of everyday work. You will have the freedom to take ownership, shape your role, and grow alongside the company.
Clear communication and real responsibility: We work with flat hierarchies and direct communication. Ideas are discussed openly, decisions are made pragmatically, and responsibility sits close to implementation.
Development that fits your role: Rather than standardized training programs, we support individual development that is aligned with your responsibilities and strengthens your skills where it matters most.
A collaborative team culture: You will work with people who bring different perspectives and share the ambition to move things forward together. We value trust, mutual support, and constructive collaboration.
Flexibility with accountability: We offer flexible working hours within clearly aligned coordination times and, depending on the role and team setup, the option for remote work. Ownership, reliability, and collaboration are central to how we work.
Your place in the bigger picture: Whether you join us full-time or part-time (30–40 hours per week), you will be an integral part of our shared mission. We value diverse perspectives and the contribution of every individual.
