Senior AI Product Designer - Design Engineering; m​/w​/d

Your tasks

• End-to-End UX Ownership: You will take holistic ownership of product experiences, designing product and AI-native workflows from the initial concept and discovery phase through prototyping, testing, and production-ready delivery.

• Rapid Prototyping & Modern Tooling: You translate complex product opportunities into simple, intuitive user experiences. Using modern tools (like Cursor, Claude Code, or similar), you build high-quality prototypes and production-ready interfaces to speed up exploration and validation.

• Elevating AI UX: You actively shape what great AI UX looks like at trbo—focusing on clarity, control, trust, and usability. You design for real-world complexity, not just ideal scenarios.

• Systems Over Screens: In close collaboration with Engineering, you build and evolve scalable components, reusable patterns, and design tokens for both AI and core product experiences, keeping design and code aligned and maintainable.

• Test, Learn & Iterate: You use prototypes to validate value, usability, and trust early on. You approach product problems pragmatically—solving them quickly without sacrificing quality based on continuous feedback and data.

• Trend Scouting & Innovation: You stay ahead of the curve regarding new patterns in AI product design and frontend tooling. You evaluate new tools to boost speed and quality, and identify opportunities where AI can enable better user experiences.

• Your Background: 4+ years of experience in Product Design, UX/UI Design, Design Systems, or a frontend-adjacent product role. Startup experience with high ownership in a fast-paced SaaS/Software environment is highly preferred!

• End-to-End Design Craft: Strong track record of designing complex digital product experiences from discovery and user flows to high-fidelity UI. Experience with motion systems, micro-interactions, and interaction polish is a great bonus.

  Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, and modern frontend principles. Experience with React, Type Script, or component architecture is strongly preferred.

• Systems Thinking: You have experience building design systems from scratch or scaling component libraries, design tokens, and reusable interaction patterns.

• AI & Prototyping (Your Plus): You bring strong visual and interactive design skills. Experience with rapid prototyping tools, AI-assisted workflows, or designing AI products in production is highly desirable.

• Collaboration & Communication: You communicate ideas clearly, defend decisions convincingly, and work ego-free alongside Product and Engineering to make pragmatic design choices.

• Language & Industry: Fluent English (written and spoken) is a must;
  German is a plus. Background in E-Commerce, Personalization, Experimentation, or Mar Tech rounds off your profile perfectly.

What exactly is my focus in this role? Your focus is on end-to-end product design for our core and AI products. You will translate complex requirements into intuitive user experiences, build fast, testable prototypes, and develop scalable design systems to take AI UX at trbo to the next level.
